Before graduating from Kent in 2020 with a BA in Criminology, Flo worked in the Careers and Employability Service carrying out administration duties, through Empower (formerly the Work-Study Scheme).

As the first in her family to go to university, graduate Taylor is pursuing her PhD in voluntary activity in rural primary schools. She has been involved in outreach work since graduating in 2021.

We are committed to offering support to students who may be financially pressured because of their circumstances. Here are some of the financial support packages we provide:
Someone who's in the care of the Local Authority for 13 weeks or more spanning their 16th birthday.
Young Independents are students who are under 20 years old and are in receipt of Universal Credit.
Someone studying without the support of their parents due to a breakdown in the relationship.
For students without permanent residence or live in a Foyer, or before attending university.
Someone who has caring responsibilities for a family member, friend or other individual.
