To allow time for programme applications to be processed:

  • Students applying for research masters courses should apply for a course no later than Friday 19th April 2025.
  • Students applying for taught postgraduate courses should apply for a course no later than Friday 10th May 2025.

Criteria

  • Open to students from, and domiciled in, Pakistan
  • Applicants will be shortlisted based on their academic performance
  • Shortlisted applicants will also be considered on the basis of financial need.
  • Applicants must have received a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time*, one year programme† in one of the following disciplines by the deadline in order to be considered for the award:
  • Candidates must be available for video interview, via Microsoft Teams, to be held in June 2025, exact date to be confirmed, and this is subject to be changed.

*Please note that the scholarship deadline cannot be extended under any circumstances. This includes applicants that have not received an offer before 24 May.

†Please note this award is not available for students applying for PhD programmes, the International Incorporated Masters, or Masters programmes that include a year in industry.

Together with The Bestway Foundation we are delighted to offer 6 scholarships of £26,000 (Tuition fees plus maintenance) to students from and domiciled in Pakistan, applying to our Postgraduate one year Masters‡ programmes in Science, Technology and Mathematics.

The University of Kent has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is excited to offer this new scholarship in partnership with The Bestway Foundation. This scholarship is administered and awarded exclusively by the University of Kent. Prospective applicants to the scholarship are requested not to contact the Bestway Foundation directly, but to contact scholarships@kent.ac.uk with any enquiries.

The Scholarships will cover tuition fees and contribute towards maintenance award for the 2025/26 academic year.

‡Please note that this includes both taught Masters programmes and Masters programmes by research.

How to apply

In order to apply for this scholarship you must have made an application for a programme of study at: https://www.kent.ac.uk/courses/postgraduate/how-to-apply/index.html.

  • Providing you meet the above eligibility criteria, you will then be able to apply for this scholarship via your applicant portal.
  • NOTE: If you have not received an offer for your programme of study, the option to apply for this scholarship will not appear in your applicant portal. The scholarship deadline will not be extended. 
  • You will be asked to upload a CV, and a statement setting out why you think you should be awarded a Bestway Scholarship, including both academic achievements and financial need. Please also state how you will fund the remainder of your living costs during your time in the UK.
  • Applications will be considered based on academic excellence. Where students are academically equivalent, the strength of the statement will be taken into account.

All documents must be in either Microsoft Word or PDF format, documents that are not sent in this format, will not be reviewed. Please do NOT send documents via Google Docs or SharePoint.
