Part of being sure which university you want to go to is really getting a feel for the campus and the community. There is no better way to do that than by coming to an Offer Holder Day.

Traveling to events can be expensive, but we want to make sure you have every opportunity to come to an Offer Holder Day to get the full Kent experience and be confident about making us your firm choice. That’s why we’ve made getting here a little easier. 

If you're a UK offer holder or a UK-based international offer holder, we're offering to cover some of your travel costs, up to the value of £50.

Terms and conditions

To receive our Offer Holder Day Travel Bursary, you’ll need to meet all of the following criteria:   

  • You must hold an offer from the University of Kent for an undergraduate degree - you'll need this to be invited!
  • You must be resident in the UK  
  • You must attend an Offer Holder Day in 2025. You can check out the dates here.
  • On the day of the event, you must register at one of the check-in points on campus, so that your visit is recorded.
  • We must receive your travel bursary form within 14 days of your Offer Holder Day. Any claims submitted after this time will not be processed.    

The Offer Holder Travel Bursary is available only to offer holders who meet the eligibility criteria. We cannot reimburse other attendees.

Contribution amount  

The contribution amount is based on the single-trip distance between the Canterbury or Medway campus (whichever is the location of your Offer Holder Day) and the postcode you provided to us in your application.    

We will confirm distances using Google Maps.

You can claim:

Up to 20 miles from campus £10.00 
20–69 miles £25.00 
70–100 miles £40.00 
100+ miles £50 

You can claim using the bursary form we will email to you after you have attended the event

Reimbursement will be made via bank transfer in GBP (£ sterling) to the UK bank account details you provide on your travel bursary form within 30 working days of our receiving your travel bursary form.
